As a teenager, Built from scratch

I built a submarine to look for Second World War wrecks

I had heard stories about submarines from the Second World War that sank along our coast, and I wanted to find them, and maybe some treasure. So, at a very young age, I built my own remote-controlled submarine.

How it works

It has an aluminium hull with counterweights inside, so it floats neutrally in the water. Brushless motors, controlled by an Arduino, push it up and forward, and a GoPro films what it sees.

Did it work?

It did. I built it from scratch, took it out and filmed the sea with it.
